Lake Balboa

Lake Balboa Park features Barbecue Pits, Children's Play Area, Picnic Tables, Jogging Path, Walking Paths, Bike Path, Multipurpose Sports Field, Fishing (with permit), Pedal Boats, and Bike Rentals.  The playground features swings, slides, jungle gyms and fun tunnels for kids to enjoy.
 
Fishing:
Lake Balboa is a popular spot for fishing and is stocked regularly with a variety of fish species by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Some of the common fish species found in the lake include catfish, carp, bass, bluegill, and tilapia.
 
There are designated fishing areas along the shoreline of the lake, and fishing is allowed from sunrise to sunset. A lake map, which shows the designated fishing areas, is available at the Anthony C. Beilenson Park office, which is located at the lake.
