Kindred Spirits Care Farm
Kindred Spirits Care Farm is a peaceful 7-acre sanctuary featuring lush trees, beautiful landscapes, an ancient Chumash cave, and a stunning 30,000-gallon turtle pond. Home to over 100 friendly rescued animals, the farm offers visitors a unique opportunity to connect with nature and animals in a serene environment. Open to the public on Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm, the farm invites guests to explore its offerings with a modest admission fee of $10 for adults and $5 for children.
In addition to public visits, Kindred Spirits Care Farm provides customized field trips tailored to suit the needs of various groups, with topics ranging from science and animal behavior to plant biology and farming. The farm hosts various private events, including birthday parties, private picnics, and filming sessions. For younger visitors, a summer camp is available for children aged 5 to 13, offering an engaging and educational experience amidst the natural beauty of the farm.

"This is the most beautiful, magical sanctuary with loved and loving animals ranging from horses to emus and pigs to turtles. I can't say enough positive things about Karen, Nate, and all the volunteers who put their hearts into creating a wonderful ever-after for these rescued animals. Kindred is perfect for a Sunday Funday open-hours visit, and it makes an incredible venue for events (dinners, birthday celebrations), photo shoots, and video shoots. It is a great place for kids (the animals are gentle and patient, as are the volunteers.
The enormous multi-hundred year old trees and boulder mountain surroundings make this shady stop so unique to SoCal. There are plenty of picnic tables to relax at and you're surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees!
Interacting with these rescued animals who are clearly so comfortable and loved is such a joy. Do yourself a favor and head over any Sunday 10 am - 2 pm. You'll want to come back and bring everyone you know!"

"We visited Kindred Spirits Care Farm with our two 10-year-old sons and had the most amazing time. It is a beautiful farm, the animals are so well cared for. The owners and volunteers are wonderful hosts, and so knowledgeable about the animals. The property is gorgeous and our sons also enjoyed scampering up the big rocks and walking trail. They mentioned to us that they have a Summer camp, which both our boys wanted to attend and we would send them if we lived closer!"
