JBM Music Lessons offers premium music lessons on piano, guitar, ukulele, electric bass, & upright bass. In-home lessons are specifically designed for kids in central & west Los Angeles (Larchmont Village, Hancock Park, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Los Feliz,& Silver Lake). Online lessons are also offered mainly for anyone outside of this service area.
With my performance-focused approach, your child will be performing in front of your loved ones in no time at their own in-home concert! Enrollment is limited. All of my actions revolve around doing what is best for my students. In order to deliver the best lessons possible I do not overbook myself and I am not able to accept every applicant. I want to make sure that every new prospective student is set up for success. I do this by taking time and diligence to enroll all incoming applicants.
The Enrollment process is as follows:
1. Complete a student application form.2. Complete a 20-minute admissions phone call. This helps me set the student up for a truly successful experience.3. Complete an enrollment lesson where you get to experience my level of coaching and we can determine the best way to move forward.

They only had a few in-person piano lessons before the pandemic hit and Jesse has been able to successfully teach my son virtually since. My son’s first concert was a virtual one. It was a solo performance and he was able to play six songs of his choosing after only 10 months of lessons! Being able to choose his own songs has been a big motivation. If Jesse doesn’t already know the song, he learns it and simplifies it to something manageable for a beginner. Jesse has also been able to add Ukulele into my son’s lessons and my son will be playing the Ukulele and piano in his next concert. I appreciate that Jesse is very organized and often circles back to the goals we have discussed for my son’s learning. There is a learning plan and quarterly evaluations so we can monitor his progress. Jesse comes to our home (outside pandemic times) for lessons which is a HUGE plus.
