If you didn't have an excuse to visit Long Beach, now you do! A new dinosaur-themed playground 🦖 at Recreation Park in Long Beach has opened up, and it should be on your list of things to do with your little paleontologists.
The new playground—located at 4900 E. Seventh St.—offers a variety of equipment suitable for children of all ages, including spinning swings, dinosaurs, a web of unique climbing structures set in the sand, and a board featuring 15 signs in American Sign Language for children with language barriers.
The most exciting part of the new playground is the swirly tube slides at the top of the play structure. Your kids would love going up and down these slides over and over again until they drop. Hello, early bedtime!
The playground also features a unique pulley swing set and a smaller play structure for 2-5-year-olds. To find more outdoor playgrounds to explore with your little ones, see our big list of outdoor playgrounds.
