Spoke Bicycle Cafe started as a proof of concept in early 2015 as the first combination bike shop-cafe in Los Angeles. The owners started out as an event space and bike shop with refreshments on the weekends in the spring of 2015, and in 2017 expanded to a full-service restaurant with vibrant food choices, nano-batch locally roasted coffee, refreshing drinks, and more.
They are located at the end of a dead-end street that butts up against the LA River Bike Path in Elysian Valley, also known as Frogtown, a unique neighborhood with very limited commercial businesses. The patio is big enough for endless running around and there’s a kids’ area with games and books.

The Milky Way is Steven Spielberg's Mom's Restaurant, and it is a must-visit with your family. The restaurant is very charming and, in a way, historic. Bernie and Leah (Spielberg) Adler opened the doors to Milky Way restaurant in 1977. Their vision was to offer fine kosher food to the Jewish community at a time when such a thing didn’t exist in Los Angeles.
