LA Zoo is finally reopening on August 26, 2020 after months of waiting! The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is home to more than 1,400 mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles representing more than 270 different species, of which more than 58 are endangered.
LA Zoo has put in place enhanced protocols and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all the visitors, and staff. Additional hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the zoo.
You should also expect new traffic flows and pathways to allow for physical distancing. Events and shows have also been suspended temporarily. All indoor spaces will remain closed.
