2022 California Watermelon Festival is back and is better than ever!
If there is one festival you have to go to with your family this summer, it's California Watermelon Festival at Hansen Dam Soccer Fields! And if you keep reading we will tell you why! The Watermelon Festival is the yummiest, most entertaining, and most fun event of this summer featuring chilled all-you-can-eat watermelon, a free kid's zone, rides, a costume contest, watermelon carvings, live art, live music, custom cars, and watermelon specialty dishes!
California Watermelon Festival is happening on June 11 & 12, 2022, right after schools are over, making it a perfect event to celebrate the start of Summer!
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT WATERMELON
The festival features giant big rigs filled to the brim with farm-fresh watermelons with unlimited fresh chilled slices for you to enjoy. The California Watermelon Festival buys over 50,000 pounds of the best, largest, sweetest melons in the state, freshly harvested, chilled, and sliced. It’s yummy-in-my-tummy madness and all-you-can-eat ALL DAY!
WATERMELON COSTUME CONTEST
Get your sewing kit out and build one-in-a-melon watermelon costumes for every member of your family! Get wild, get silly, and go big with your design to compete to win awards! The watermelon costume contest welcomes participants of all ages. There is no fee to enter. Just be at the open-air stage on Saturday at 2 pm near the festival entrance. The winners win prizes and watermelon festival fame!
WATERMELON CARVINGS
Get amazed by expert carvers at the festival as they create the most beautiful watermelon carvings in the Watermelon Court.
WATERMELON SPECIALTY DISHES
The festival won't be complete if you don't try some watermelon-infused specialty dishes! At the festival, you can find these specialty dishes and much more:

BBQ Chicken or Steak with Special Watermelon BBQ Sauce

FREE KIDS ZONE
The Kid’s Zone is open both days from 10 am to 7 pm, and has so many cool activities for kids of all ages, and the best part is all the activities are FREE!

LIVE ART
Some of LA’s top graffiti artists, such as Trade One, Cr8 One, and Skill One will be demonstrating their skills at the festival. They are masters of their craft and extremely fun to watch! This time you can also find live paintings by talented brush artists at the festival.

You can watch your favorite bands at the comfort of the Beer Garden next to the main stage and try a Watermelon Rita or one of several popular beers they have on tap! (for adults only)
CAR SHOW
Nationally renowned Cacho Customs and partners are curating some truly inventive cars at the festival this year. You get to see real steel art like you have never seen before.
TICKETS
Tickets are available online and if you purchase your tickets before May 31, 2022, you will save 20% on your tickets. Children under 3 are FREE.
Child Tickets (3-11): $9.60 online - $12 at the gate
Adult Tickets: $12.90 online - $16 at the gate
Carnival Rides: 10 Ride Super Saver: $25 online - not available at the gate.

RIDES & SUPER SAVER CARNIVAL PACK
You can buy a SUPER SAVER PACK OF 10 carnival rides for only $25, which is a 75% discount and won't be available at the festival! This is only available on advance purchases online. You then redeem your 10 rides at the carnival ticket booth.
PARKING
Parking is available at the venue for $10. Limited street parking is available on Foothill Blvd. north of the 210 freeway. Ride Share drop-off/pick-up location is available near the festival entrance.
