Butterfly Pavilion and Nature Gardens are Reopening at NHMLA!


The wait is over! NHMLA is reopening its' Butterfly Pavilion and Nature Gardens as of August 28th for members, and on September 11th to the general public.

To ensure the safety of visitors, NHMLA has put in place the following safety and health protocol:


  • Timed ticket entry

  • Limiting the number of guests to promote a physically distanced and safe environment

  • Face coverings must be worn at all times by staff and visitors except children under the age of two. 

  • Frequent and thorough cleaning of all public spaces, including restrooms, exhibition areas, handrails, and counters.



Advanced, timed-tickets are now available online for Member Previews and must be reserved prior to your visit. Your tickets allow for entry through the North Entrance and then a stroll through the Nature Gardens on the way to the Butterfly Pavilion. Pre-paid parking reservations are also required and can be made when you purchase the Butterfly Pavilion tickets.


The outdoor spaces are open Friday through Sunday. Tickets are $6 per person for non-members, and free for members. Parking is $6 for non-Members and free for Members. Non-Member Tickets will go on sale on August 31st.
