BiodiverCity: 🐸 Uncovering the Secrets of L.A.'s Urban Wildlife!

Get ready for some exciting and educational fun, because the Los Angeles Zoo, Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, and the Gottlieb Native Garden have teamed up to bring you a brand new podcast called BiodiverCity! This podcast is all about exploring the fascinating world of urban ecology and conservation right here in Los Angeles.

In each episode, listeners will get to hear all about L.A.'s famous mountain lion P-22, the efforts to save the endangered western monarch butterfly and southern mountain yellow-legged frog, building native plant habitats, and even the story of a rare bird's journey to L.A. smuggled in a sock!

L.A. Zoo's Director of Conservation, Dr. Jake Owens, will be chatting with experts from the zoo and beyond to uncover how people and wildlife are thriving together in the city. And if that wasn't enough, there will also be bonus episodes featuring a renowned foley artist discussing the art of creating nature sounds for movies, a Watts hip-hop performer and entrepreneur sharing his message of conservation, and other unique and diverse voices.
