The LAUSD Teachers Strike continues for its second week, and so many LA families are keeping their kids at home to support the teachers. Here is a list of things to do in Los Angeles with kids during the LAUSD Teachers' Strike to help you educate your kids while they are having fun too!

Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is expanding its daily programming offerings during the teachers' strike. Join Wallis Annenberg PetSpace Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Annenberg PetSpace is a unique community space focused on strengthening the human-animal bond through educational programming, pet adoption and a leadership institute.

NHMLA has many inspiring education programs, groundbreaking scientific research, and the exhibition. Students and one patron can visit the NHMLA for free during LAUSD Teachers' Strike with valid student ID.

Get the inside story of the Fossil Lab, Lake Pit, Observation Pit, and Project 23 at La Brea Tar Pit. La Brea Tar Pit also offers free admission and one patron for LA students with valid ID during the strike.

The gray whales are migrating and Crystal Cove State Park is a great spot to look for them. Join for a Gray Whale “Twalk” and learn some fun facts about the California State Marine Mammal. Meet at Pelican Point lot #4 (PCH coastward at Newport Coast, left at kiosk to the last lot) $15 day-use fee. 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily.

Explore the history of the automobile and its global impact on life and culture. At Petersen Automotive Museum you get to drive into the world of the automobile in lots of different ways. There are interactive exhibits, art projects, automotive awareness workshops and more.

Visit the L.A. Zoo to see and learn about wildlife conservation. LA Zoo is offering free admission to LA Students during the strike with a valid student ID. Adults accompanying the kids are $5 each.

Spend a day at the Original Farmers Market, and learn about its' fascinating history, and enjoy delicious food while you shop and explore the market.
