Spring Arts Festival is a weekend-long arts gathering that focuses exclusively on the diverse and powerful artistic talent in Los Angeles County. Envisioned as an annual “best of L.A. arts festival,” this free, three-day performing and visual arts showcase will bring dance, music and theatre performances as well as visual artwork by L.A. artists to Grand Park this weekend. Some highlights include: taking photos in a golden wonderland in the super bloom room, standing in the middle of the world's largest indoor confetti dome surrounded by half a million pieces of confetti, jumping from a rainbow into a pot with over 25,000 smiley face coins inside, and posing inside HAPPY PLACE's signature rubber ducky cubby of fun.

Each year, the flock of Shetland sheep at the L.A. Zoo must have their wool sheared to prevent overheating. See these animals receive their annual haircut from Trevor Hollenback from Hollenback Shearing at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. Young visitors can learn how to care for and groom goats and sheep at educational activity stations.
The Southern California Handweavers Guild will also be present to demonstrate weaving methods for different types of fabrics and fibers, including wool from the sheep at the Zoo. [Cost: free with paid Zoo admission]
