Los Muertos 5K

The Los Muertos 5K is a unique event honoring Day of the Dead with a lively 5K run or walk in Downtown Los Angeles. Families and friends come together to celebrate loved ones who have passed, with colorful traditions like face painting, decorated altars, and a community altar where participants can add personal mementos. The race kicks off with a traditional Aztec purification ceremony and winds through historic LA, including Olvera Street and Chinatown. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy a festival filled with mariachi bands, folkloric dancers, and stilt walkers. The top three finishers in each gender category will receive hand-painted skull trophies.
