Capistrano Lights 2024

Get ready to celebrate the holidays in a truly magical way at Orange County’s only Mission! From December 7 through December 29, 2024, experience the wonder of Capistrano Lights: Mission in Lights, where history meets holiday cheer. Your ticket includes daytime admission to the beautiful Mission and an evening full of festive fun from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. With tree lighting ceremonies, Dickens-era carolers, a stunning full-scale nativity, and enchanting light features—including a brand-new lighted halo grove, scented citrus garden, and dancing swallows—there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, your ticket is valid all day from 10 AM to 7 PM!

The tradition continues with Community Christmas Trees, Family Wreaths, and a harpist serenading guests in the serene Serra Chapel. Don’t miss the Capistrano Lights audio tour, available all month, where you can hear the Gospel and the classic Night Before Christmas while learning more about the Mission’s holiday wonders.

Public parking is available in the surrounding streets near the Mission. The most visible parking lot is on the south side of Ortega Highway and El Camino Real. For more information please see the City of San Juan Capistrano’s Parking Map. Most parking is free but there are time restrictions in various lots. Please read signage before departing your vehicle for restrictions or limitations on hours.
