Battleship Iowa is a retired United States warship. Launched in 1942 and finally struck in 2006, USS Iowa served in World War Two and the Korean War and was the lead ship in its class. Since 2011, the world-famous ship has been an exhibit of the  Pacific Battleship Center in Los Angeles.

During your visit and tour, you will follow in the footsteps of sailors and mischievous mascot Vicky the Dog, and experience first hand why she is known as the “Battleship of Presidents”, “The Grey Ghost”, and “The Big Stick”.

Parking

Parking is accessible from 1st Street & Harbor Boulevard. The first hour is free, and each additional hour is $2 with a maximum of $19 per day.

We went on Friday around 2pm and avoided the majority of the weekend crowd. It was nice to be able to walk around the ship at our own pace between the self-guided tour and avoiding the crowd. Super positive experience. Basic tickets were $22.50 so suuuuper reasonably priced.  Plus you support the group which keeps this historic battleship open for us.  SHoutout to the many volunteers...

The City of Los Angeles requires that guests who appear to be 18 years of age or older provide proof of vaccination to enter any indoor spaces at this facility, or self-attest to your eligibility for medical or religious exemptions. Per the regulation, those guests who self-attest to eligibility for an exemption may tour the outdoor portions of the ship.
