2022 California Watermelon Festival

Watermelon lovers rejoice! The annual Watermelon Festival is back with giant big rigs filled to the brim with farm-fresh watermelons and unlimited fresh chilled slices to all ticket holders. It’s yummy-in-my-tummy madness!  The California Watermelon Festival buys over 50,000 pounds of the best, largest, sweetest melons in the state, freshly harvested, chilled, and sliced. It’s all-you-can-eat so enjoy!

WATERMELON SPECIALTY DISHES 

Try watermelon-infused specialty dishes: 

• Wedge of Heaven (Watermelon wedge with dessert toppings!)
• BBQ Chicken or Steak with Special Watermelon BBQ Sauce
• Watermelon-battered Deep Fried Shrimp Tacos

In addition, there are  20 vendor offerings from BBQ to vegan to please every palate.

FREE KID’S ZONE 

The Kid’s Zone is open from 10 am – 7 pm. Activities are FREE, including:

WATERMELON COSTUME CONTEST & WATERMELON CARVINGS 

The festival continues the tradition of a very creative and fun watermelon costume contest on Saturday at 2pm. There is no cost to enter. Prizes! Fame! Click on the box at checkout for more info. Also, check out expert carvers as they create the most beautiful watermelon carvings in the Watermelon  Court.

LIVE ART 

Some of LA’s top graffiti artists will be demonstrating their skills live. Trade One, Cr8 One, and Skill One will be showing their skills. They are masters of their craft and fun to watch! The festival is also introducing live painting by talented brush artists.

LIVE BANDS & BEER GARDEN 

Top local Bands are taking the main stage:

• The Blackouts
• The Flux Capacitors
• The Sold! and Bones
• Check E Bumps

CUSTOM CARS 

Nationally renowned Cacho Customs and partners are curating some truly inventive cars at the festival this year. The show runs on both days. A must-see!
